Camille Kostek was photographed by James Macari in the Dominican Republic for the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue along with fellow models Katie Austin, Lauren Chan, Hailey Clauson, Brooks Nader and Madisin Rian.
The 2019 SI Swimsuit cover star made her franchise debut the year before as part of the Swim Search program (she co-won the open casting call competition). The Connecticut native makes her sixth consecutive appearance in the issue with the 2023 edition. The former New England Patriots cheerleader has designed her own jewelry and swimwear collections and is a seasoned TV host, having fronted NBC’s Dancing With Myself and TBS’s Wipeout.
Cap Cana is a tropical oasis located in the Punta Cana area of the Dominican Republic. The exclusive private community is renowned for both its luxurious service and non-stop activity. It boasts white sand beaches, seaside cliffs and a variety of native wildlife. The SI Swimsuit team decided to leverage the eager anticipation around this summer’s forthcoming Greta Gerwig-directed Barbie film, so the styling for Kostek’s shoot embraced full-on Barbiecore. The swimsuits were sexy and playful while exuding tons of powerful feminine energy. Think lots of hot pink, bold patterns and strong silhouettes suitable for the iconic doll herself.
